Student testimonial

I began my studies at the University of Ottawa in Fall 2025. During the registration process, I reached out to the Faculty of Arts Mentoring Service and was paired with Mary. She supported me throughout the process and helped me better understand several details that I had not been aware of.

Afterward, I stayed connected with the service, which allowed me to take part in review sessions for my philosophy course, among other activities. This support helped me earn strong grades during my first semester.

I hope my testimonial is helpful to you. I remain available should you require any additional information, with the hope of helping other students.

Indigenous Affirmation

We pay respect to the Algonquin people, who are the traditional guardians of this land. We acknowledge their longstanding relationship with this territory, which remains unceded. We pay respect to all Indigenous people in this region, from all nations across Canada, who call Ottawa home. We acknowledge the traditional knowledge keepers, both young and old. And we honour their courageous leaders: past, present, and future.
