As of November 8: More work hours for international students
International students can now work up to 24 hours per week off campus without a work permit, an increase of four hours. Make sure you meet other requirements for working while you study.
January 20 to 24: Sexual Violence Prevention Week
Discover how you can play a role in fostering a safer, more respectful campus community. Learn more about consent, bystander intervention and resources available at the University of Ottawa by taking part in activities organized by the uOttawa Human Rights Office’s Sexual Violence Prevention and Response team and partners.
January 24: Check important dates
Stay on track this winter term by checking important dates and deadlines. For example, January 24 is the last day to pay your tuition without late fees and the last day to withdraw from a course or activity and receive a financial credit.

You’ve got a lot going right now, but if you want to shore up your finances and gain great work experience on campus, uOttawa’s Work-Study Program is now hiring for the Winter term. Other part-time casual jobs may be available. Good luck!
From January 10 to February 28: Become a Peer Wellness Program volunteer
Volunteer as a peer wellness educator to help your peers make informed decisions about their health and wellness. Earn hours for your Co-curricular Record, meet other students, enjoy a flexible schedule and contribute to a culture of wellness. Apply starting January 10 to start in August 2025.
