Part-time program

Teachers wishing to host a teacher candidate must have:

• two years’ teaching experience
• a Certificate of Qualification and Registration issued by the Ontario College of Teachers

The Faculty of Education offers honoraria to associate teachers, in recognition of your significant involvement in mentoring teacher candidates. To receive the honorarium, create a supplier account on the University’s Workday platform. You only have to do this once to receive subsequent honoraria.

Following these guidelines:

Register as an individual.

Personal and account information:

1. Email address: Use your school board email address or the address that appears on the practicum confirmation email sent by the Practicum Office.
2. Company name: Identify yourself as an individual by entering your first and last names as they appear on your tax return.
3. Supplier category: Select Individual Clinician/ Internship supervisor.
4. Address: Enter the address of your personal residence. For Usage, select Street Address.
5. Payment type: Select EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer) (Canada) to receive payment by direct deposit.
6. Currencies: Select CAD (Canadian Dollar).
