Breaking barriers: Driving equitable health-care for Quebec’s English-speaking communities
This large initiative, led by Professor Sathya Karunananthan, will explore the impact of language discordant health-care delivery for minority English-speakers in Quebec, including recent immigrants. The project proposes to co-create a health atlas with community partners, gathering evidence to influence policy and improve healthcare access and outcomes through collaborative efforts.

Optimizing care for children with language disorders
Professor Daniel Bérubé explores language development in monolingual, bilingual, or multilingual children, which may not always follow a linear progression. His research program aims to develop new assessment tools for early identification of children who may exhibit prolonged language development. His work helps speech-pathologists to implement early interventions to support language skills acquisition.
