Introduction to Medicine and Pharmacy Mini-courses

Facilitated by current students, mini-courses will give you the opportunity to:

  • Participate in several interactive clinical skills workshops (intubation, casting, suturing, auscultation, etc.)
  • Take part in an information session on admission and the medical school interview
  • Listen to several testimonials from students currently in medical school

We offer three types of mini-courses:

  • Mini-course — university component: Activity reserved for Francophone students at the University of Ottawa, Cégep de l’Outaouais and Collège Nouvelles Frontières (college section)
  • Mini-course — regional component: Activity reserved for Grade 11 and 12 Francophone students from Ottawa area high schools
  • Mini-course — provincial component: Activity reserved for Grade 11 and 12 Francophone students in Ontario high schools

Healthcare Career Days

This event, organized in partnership with the Consortium national de formation en santé — University of Ottawa, aims to raise awareness among high school and university students of French-language studies leading to healthcare careers:

  • Nutrition
  • Nursing
  • Social services

By participating, you will take part in a variety of training workshops led by university students in the programs presented:

  • Teaching laboratories
  • Problem-solving workshop
  • Technical skills development sessions
  • Practical activities
