The AI Seed Funding Program aims to support new and ongoing research initiatives that will enhance the Faculty of Medicine’s AI capacity. It is funded by the AI Knowledge Translation Fund, which was recently created with the generous support of donors Joseph and Amy Ip.

Recognizing the growing role of artificial intelligence in advancing health research and care, the Faculty of Medicine has established the AI Seed Funding Program to foster innovative AI-enabled research initiatives and strengthen capacity in medical AI. The program aligns with the objectives of the Ottawa Medical Artificial Intelligence Research Institute (OMARI) by promoting collaboration, innovation, and the responsible application of AI to address challenges in health and biomedical research.
