The Faculty of Social Sciences is very proud of the 2026 student delegation, which won the Outstanding Delegation award at the National Model United Nations (NMUN) Conference. The delegation was also recognized for its outstanding delegates in the UNESCO, HRC, GA1 and GA2 committees.

2025 Model UN student delegation representing Czechia

Country represented: Czechia

The Faculty of Social Sciences is very proud of the 2025 student delegation, which won the Distinguished Delegation award at the National Model United Nations (NMUN) Conference. The delegation was also recognized for its outstanding delegates in the CCPCJ and UNHCR committees, as well as for its excellent position papers in GA3 and UNECE.

The National Model United Nations conference takes place every year in New York City which gathers over 5,000 students from all over the world. The results have just been announced and once again this year, the uOttawa student delegation won several awards. The uOttawa student delegation won the Distinguished Delegation Award, Position Paper for ECOSOC and GA2. Congratulations!!!

Congratulations to the FSS 3295 Class who participated in the MODEL UN simulation in 2021. It was an unusual year as the conference had to be moved completely online due to COVID-19.
