The Faculty of Social Sciences is very proud of the 2024 student delegation representing Austria which won the Distinguished Delegation award at the National Model United Nations (NMUN) Conference.

Congratulations to the 2023 uOttawa student delegation who represented Netherlands for the following achievements.

• Netherlands, University of Ottawa for its Position Paper GA 1 (General Assembly First Committee)
• Netherlands, University of Ottawa for its Position Paper UNDP (United Nations Development Programme)
• Netherlands, University of Ottawa for its Position Paper, IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency)
• Outstanding Delegation Award to Netherlands, University of Ottawa
• Outstanding Delegates IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) to Netherlands, University of Ottawa

The National Model United Nations conference takes place every year in New York City which gathers over 5,000 students from all over the world. The results have just been announced and once again this year, the uOttawa student delegation won several awards. The uOttawa student delegation represented Australia and won the Distinguished Delegation Award, Position Paper for ECOSOC and GA2.  Congratulations!!! 

Congratulations to the FSS3295 Class who participated in the MODEL UN simulation in 2021. It was an unusual year as the conference had to be moved completely online due to COVID19. Our delegation represented Norway and won the following awards:   Honorable Mention, Outstanding Position Paper and Outstanding Delegates in Committee,

Congratulations to all students who participated in the 2020 Model United Nations Course.  The students represented Belgium.  The following students received awards for their position papers.
