Serena Corsini-Munt, Vice-Dean, Graduate Studies

Serena Corsini-Munt

I am honoured to take on the role of Vice-Dean of Graduate Studies for the Faculty of Social Sciences, and grateful for the trust placed in me as I begin this new chapter of service to the Faculty. I am looking forward to working alongside the dynamic and experienced team in the Graduate Studies Office (BES) under Terry Kruyk’s steadfast leadership since 2020. Our students, professors, and staff are the heart of this community. Each brings their own experiences and aspirations, and together they create a place where people can learn, grow, and support one another. I see my role as helping to nurture that environment, while championing the integrity and excellence of our programs in French and in English. At its heart, education in the social sciences is about helping people understand themselves, relate to others, make thoughtful choices, and contribute meaningfully to the world around them. I look forward to supporting our students as they come into their own, helping them build the confidence, autonomy, and sense of purpose they need to move toward their next opportunity.
