Associate Vice-President, Research Support and Infrastructure, University of Ottawa
Mohamad Nasser-Eddine is the Associate Vice-President, Research Support and Infrastructure AVP-RSI of the University of Ottawa. Holding a doctorate in organic chemistry from Université de Haute-Alsace (France) and an Executive MBA from Université du Québec à Montréal, Mr. Nasser-Eddine has been Director, Programs at the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) from 2015 to 2022. He also served as interim Vice-President, Programs and Performance from 2018 to 2020. Prior to joining the CFI, Mr. Nasser-Eddine was the director of the Strategic Projects Management Group in the Office of the Vice-President, Research and Innovation at the University of Ottawa, where he demonstrated outstanding initiative and leadership. He led this one-stop shop to support the research community, working closely with Facilities, Procurement and Financial Resources. He also managed the core facilities program at the University of Ottawa, a first within the U15. In his new position as AVP-RSI, Mr. Nasser-Eddine lead large infrastructure projects and funding programs for research and innovation. He is also responsible for strategic development initiatives, research ethics and integrity, animal care and veterinary services, and animal ethics and compliance, among other portfolios.
