Academic integrity is a core value at the University of Ottawa, and at the Faculty of Health Sciences. Information on this page will help you to work with integrity, and to respond appropriately if you ever face an allegation of misconduct.

Your commitment to academic integrity

All undergraduate students at the University of Ottawa complete a mandatory online course, ITD 1100/1500, about academic integrity. That course concludes with the following pledge, which is also relevant to graduate students:

“I hereby pledge to contribute to the culture of academic integrity on campus. I recognize that, as a member of the uOttawa community, I have the responsibility to follow the rules that define what constitutes honorable behaviour for students. I understand that the value of developing habits that align with academic integrity goes beyond avoiding sanctions; it allows me to get the most out of my post-secondary education. I’m committed to preparing my work honestly, and I agree to being held accountable for the quality of my work.”
