Overview of the MA Program

The School of International Development and Global Studies (SIDGS) offers an interdisciplinary, French or English M.A. program, which exposes students to a broad range of development theory, policy and practice, while also enabling graduate students to specialize in one of four fields: Conflict, Transitions and Peace; Growth, Private Sector and Social Inclusion; Livelihoods, Resources and Sustainability; and Social Movements, Equity and Human Rights. We support significant opportunities for hands on practice (internships, Co-op, field courses, fieldwork), while linking graduate students to policy makers and networks in federal capital, the heart of Canada’s international development industry.
