List of approved exam centres for online summer courses offered by the Faculty of Social Sciences.

IMPORTANT : The option of writing a final exam in an approved exam center is only available for Summer 2026 courses. It is not an option for a deferred exam from a previous term.

Although some courses are offered in a virtual format this summer, your final exam may still take place in person during the examination period established by the University of Ottawa. Students wishing to write their exam at an approved exam centre must make preliminary arrangements with the exam centre before completing the request form.

Request to write an exam in an approved exam centre

You have the option of writing the final exam:

on the uOttawa campus,
at an approved exam centre in Canada, or
to defer the exam to the deferred examination period in October 2026 for all courses, except ECO courses. For ECO deferred exams, please consult your course outline for more details.

There are many test centres across Canada. To help you in your search, we have compiled a list of some of these centres in each of Canada's provinces and territories. This list represents a sample of approved Canadian test centres but is not limited to this one. However, the test centre must be accredited and approved.

This list is constantly evolving and may change at any time without notice.

To request permission to write an exam at an approved exam centre, you must complete the form Request to write an exam in an approved exam centre at least two weeks before your exam date and provide all required information. Before submitting the form, you must contact the exam centre directly to make preliminary arrangements and confirm that they can administer your exam and accommodate any required accommodations.
