The Centre for Language Learning has French and English programs which are offered each season. Below you will find upcoming semester dates, application deadlines, and program fees.

English Intensive Program (EIP)

Tuition must be paid in full by the first day of class. Dates and fees are subject to change without notice. Students in the English Intensive Program are not eligible for government financial assistance.
Students may be eligible for a tuition refund if their registration to the EIP is cancelled or if their study permit is refused. To qualify for a refund, students must send a request to [email protected] . Requests must be submitted before the last day to enroll for the term in which the student is admitted. New students must participate in Integration Days before starting the English Intensive Program.

UHIP Health Insurance coverage is mandatory for all students. UHIP premiums are calculated based on when you begin your program. Coverage typically runs from September 1^st to August 31^st. For more information in the UHIP health insurance, please consult the UHIP webpage.
This health benefit and dental insurance plan is mandatory for all conditional offer students who start in the fall terms. It is optional for conditional offer students who start in the winter terms. Please follow this link for more information.
Due to the validity of the U-Pass in the Fall (September 1 – April 30), eligible full-time students are charged the full amount in the Fall term.
This means that even if you are only registered for full-time courses in the Fall term, you will still be charged the full amount. If you aren’t full-time during the Winter term, you must submit an opt-out form before the deadline in order to obtain your Winter fee adjustment.

Sponsored individuals are not eligible for tuition discounts and will pay regular tuition fees of $6,815 per session.

The CA$100 admission fee is a one-time, non-refundable fee which only applies to new students who do not have a University of Ottawa student ID and have never been enrolled in a program at the Centre for Language Learning.

Accelerated Academic Bridging in English (ESL 0140)

Students may be eligible for a tuition refund if their registration is cancelled or if their study permit is refused. To qualify for a refund, students must send a request to [email protected] . Requests must be submitted before the last day to enroll for the term in which the student is admitted. No refunds will be issued after this deadline. Students in the Accelerated Academic Bridging in English program are not eligible for government financial assistance.

uOttawa English Experience (uOEE) Program

The tuition fee must be paid in full by the first day of class. Refunds will be granted up to two weeks prior to the first day of class, minus a CA$ 200 administrative fee. More details on our refund policy may be found on our regulations page. The fees cover the tuition, health insurance and the weekly sociocultural activities.
Fees are subject to change without notice. Tuition must be paid in full for you to receive a letter of admission and to take the program placement test. Once you have completed the placement test, we will determine which level to place you in the uOttawa English Experience Program.
