- Purchase your block of 20, 40 or 60 entries.
- Use them to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner in the Dining Hall.
- Your entries are valid for one full term. Those you don’t use by the end of the term are converted into Flex dollars, which you can use on campus for purchases from various food outlets, several providers and vending machines, as well as at the bookstore and elsewhere.
- Note: You can’t purchase the same block plan more than once in a term. So, if you purchase 20 entries for the fall term, you can only purchase an additional block of a different number of entries that term.

- Fall term: August 27, 2025 to December 31, 2025
- Winter term: January 1, 2026 to April 30, 2026
Fund transfers
Employee block plans are valid for one term only and can’t be transferred to another term. Unused entries are converted to Flex dollars at the end of the term. Funds in your Flex account remain valid for six years after the last transaction date.
How to buy an employee block plan
Block plans are available to all regular employees with a valid employee card.
Don’t have the latest version of the employee card? Get a new uOttawa employee card.
- Log into your uOttawa card account.
- Select Staff.
- Enter your uOttawa credentials.
- Select Meal plan from the left-hand menu.
- Select Buy for the block plan you want to purchase.
- Complete the transaction steps.
- Start enjoying your block plan!
