Our programs

Master of Human Kinetics (MHK) - Concentration in Sport Management

The MHK program in Intervention and Consultation is the only course-based professional Applied Sport Psychology program in Canada. This program prepares students to meet the certification criteria of the Canadian Sport Psychology Association and its American equivalent, the Association of Applied Sport Psychology.

Contributes to the accumulation of facts and scientific data related to sport, physical activity and health, as well as to foster the development of critical thinking skills and problem solving abilities.

Master of Arts Human Kinetics - Specialization in Feminist and Gender Studies

The collaborative program in Feminist and Gender Studies at the master's level is designed for students from selected disciplines in arts, education, health sciences, law, social sciences, and counselling and spirituality.

Contributes to the accumulation of facts and scientific data related to sport, physical activity and health. Facilitates the acquisition of knowledge in the field of biophysical sciences of sport, physical activity and health.

An integrated approach to the study of sport, physical activity and health allows students and professors to share research interests and professional expertise, and to contribute to the broad field of human kinetics.

Doctorate in Philosophy Human Kinetics Specialization in Canadian Studies

Because of its strength in relevant areas, its bilingual character and its location in the national capital, the University of Ottawa is uniquely positioned to offer a collaborative program leading to a specialization in Canadian Studies at the doctoral level.
