Winter 2026: CTM Poster Day will be held on April 2, 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m.

This is an in-person event taking place in the Atrium at Roger Guindon Hall 
(451 Smyth Road).

CTM Poster Presentation Instructions

You will need to prepare a poster and present it to two evaluators.

Each presentation should be a 10-minute summary of your progress so far, followed by a 5-minute discussion with both evaluators.

You will be evaluated based on the following information:

  • The background information and a rationale for the work
  • A clear hypotheses and objectives
  • The clarity of methodology
  • The most important findings and interpretations
  • An analysis of results with conclusions that relate back to the objectives
    (The same rubric used at Seminar Day will be used on Poster Day - you can find it in Brightspace)

You will also be evaluated on your ability to describe your work and your ability or answer questions.

Poster Printing Instructions

The deadline to submit your request for printing is March 19, 2026

  • Please submit your request for poster printing by email to [email protected] and attach the PDF file containing your poster.

    Include in your email:
    Full name, program, concentration.
    ex: John Smith, MSc RP, MIRS
     
  • Your posters will be ready to pick at 600 Peter Morand Crescent, and you will be notified when it is ready for pickup.

Regulations/Formatting of your Poster

  • All posters must be submitted by March 19th at 11:59 pm. Students who miss this deadline will be responsible for printing their own posters and covering the associated costs.
  • It is the student's responsibility to ensure that the poster has been approved by the supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Poster backgrounds must be white. No full colored backgrounds are accepted.
  • Please check your poster carefully for formatting or mistakes before submitting your poster for printing as reprints are not guaranteed.
  • Poster size is limited by the size of the printer. One side of the poster must not exceed 36” (91.44 cm) and the other should not exceed 48"
  • Make sure to leave a margin of at least 1” otherwise you might have text missing when printing your poster.
  • Documents must be a PDF file only. Please ensure it is appropriately sized before sending; posters not yet formatted to the accurate size will be sent back to you for resizing.
  • The poster should include the affiliation to the Graduate Program.
  • We encourage you to make your poster visually appealing, the use of colour in titles, figures and decorative items like boxes are important.
