University Square (16)

The University Square is a designed to provide a central social gathering spot for the university's community.

As of Summer 2021, the University Square white tent will not be set-up on the University Square due to repairs.

Tabaret Lawn (1)

Located in front of our heritage building, Tabaret Lawn is the largest green space on campus and measures 4,500m2. This space is ideal for casual gatherings such as picnics, yoga and meditation classes.

UCU Upper Terrace (11)

Our newly renovated space is located in the middle of the campus, next to the UCU Jock Turcot building. This space is Ideal for BBQs, reception and casual gatherings.

Outdoor promotional spaces

Grand Allée (6)

This high foot traffic outdoor area can accommodate up to 30 kiosks. It is located in front of our residence complex, library and our University Centre.

NOTE: All activities with a participation over 500 requires a permit from the City of Ottawa. Speak to your agent for more information.

Barbecue

To host a barbecue activity on campus, you should:

• Complete the request form to book the outdoor space at least 10 calendar days prior to the activity.
• Work with your assigned C&R Coordination Agent to identify the location of the barbecue. C&R will notify the Office of the Chief Risk Officer of the scheduled barbecue.
• After obtaining all necessary approvals, follow the Grilling Safety Checklist. Regular Terms and Conditions allow applies.
