Check admission requirements and deadlines
Admission requirements and deadlines vary by program, so check both before applying.
Make sure you meet the admission requirements for your chosen program, including minimum averages and prerequisite courses (and language requirements, if applicable).
You can apply as early as mid-October for the following fall term. Deadlines vary by program, and the application period can close earlier if spaces fill up.
Complete your application
We begin assessing your application once your file is complete, so submit all required documents by the deadline in your application file in uoZone.
We might request additional documents or supporting information, depending on your program. If you’ve been studying in Canada for less than three years, you might also need to provide official results of a University of Ottawa-approved language test.
Please note that all documents submitted become the property of the University and are not returned.
How to submit your documents
- Ontario secondary school applicants
Your secondary school transcripts will be sent to us automatically through OUAC. Upload all other required documents through uoDoc in uoZone. - CEGEP applicants
Your official CEGEP transcripts will be sent to us automatically through OUAC. To allow our admissions office to access these transcripts, include your 12-digit Quebec CEGEP permanent code in your OUAC application. Without it, your application can’t be assessed. Upload all other required documents through uoDoc in uoZone. - Other applicants
Submit your supporting documents through uoZone. Log in and check your Admission file for the list of required documents, and then upload them using uoDoc.
