Application deadlines for undergraduate studies

The following application deadlines for undergraduate admission apply to programs offered in English. See the application deadlines for programs in French.

We have three terms at uOttawa: fall, winter and spring-summer. You can apply to start your undergraduate program in either of these terms (subject to program availability).

Most direct-entry undergraduate programs

We start accepting applications for programs that begin in September 2027 on September 17, 2026. Application deadlines vary by program and by applicant category. However, we recommend that you submit your application before January 15, 2027.

Because many programs reach capacity quickly, apply as soon as applications open. We review early applications sooner and you have a better chance of receiving an offer before programs are full.

Ensure you meet all application requirements, including submitting documents and test results, as soon possible, by February 15, 2027, or 30 days after you apply.

• Programs can close at any time once they reach capacity.
• Check the detailed admission requirements and deadlines to confirm whether a program is still accepting applications.

Canadian applicants: Most programs close in June, depending on available space.

International applicants: Most programs close in May, to allow time for study permit processing.

Apply as soon as the application portal opens and meet all application requirements as quickly as possible. If you’re an international student, this also helps avoid delays related to immigration timelines.

Recommended deadlines for programs with limited enrolment

For programs with limited enrolment, apply by January 15, 2027, and submit all application requirements as soon as possible.

Competitive programs include Acting, Visual Arts, Music, Social Work and most programs in the faculties of Engineering and Health Sciences.

Admission can close without notice once programs are full.
