October 26, 2023

  • Deadline to submit applications for fee waiver (English JD programs)

November 1, 2023 (11:59 pm ET)

  • Deadline for applications to first-year English JD programs.
  • Deadline for OLSAS to receive transcripts and references for first-year English JD applications.

February 1, 2024 (11:59 pm ET)

  • Deadline for first-year English JD applicants who are completing undergraduate courses in December 2023 to send their fall 2023 grades to OLSAS.

March 1, 2024 (11:59 pm ET)

  • Deadline for applications to first-year French JD programs at University of Ottawa.
  • Deadline for OLSAS to receive transcripts and references for first-year French JD applications to Ottawa.

April 1, 2024 (11:59 pm ET)

  • Any incomplete applications to English JD programs are subject to cancellation without further notice. 

May 1, 2024 (11:59 pm ET)

  • Deadline for applications to upper-year JD programs (English and French).
  • Deadline for OLSAS to receive transcripts and references for upper-year JD applications (English and French).

June 1, 2024 (11:59 pm ET)

  • Deadline to pay the tuition deposit, for any admission offers received prior to May 15th. 
  • Any incomplete applications to French JD programs are subject to cancellation without further notice. 

June 30, 2024 (11:59 pm ET)

  • Deadline for all first-year JD applicants who are completing undergraduate courses in April 2024 to send their final grades to OLSAS.

July 1, 2024 (11:59 pm ET)

  • Provisional acceptances to first-year JD programs convert automatically to firm acceptances.

August 1, 2024 (11:59 pm ET)  

  • Provisional acceptances to upper-year JD programs convert automatically to firm acceptances.
  • Files which remain incomplete for upper-year JD applicants (English and French) are subject to cancellation without further notice

 Other Deadlines

If you receive an offer of admission, please review your official offer letter carefully. It will contain a deadline to accept the offer, and a deadline by which you must pay your tuition deposit. Failure to accept an admission offer by the stated deadline or failure to complete payment of the tuition deposit by the stated deadline can result in the offer being rescinded. 

(The tuition deposit is due June 1st for early offers of admission. The tuition deposit deadline is subject to variation for admission offers made after May 15th.)
