Détails

La conférence se déroulera uniquement en anglais.

This activity will feature six symposia on the state of current knowledge on themes at the cutting-edge of pressing issues in music and health:

(1) Making music more accessible for people with disabilities;
(2) Therapeutic benefits of music learning for children with neurodevelopmental disorders;
(3) Music education among those with hearing loss;
(4) Music making with older adults for improved health and wellbeing;
(5) Practices and effects of choral singing on health and wellbeing; and
(6) Musicians’ health and wellbeing: evidence-based interventions.

Twenty eight invited speakers have confirmed their participation in scientific presentations that will provide an overview and synthesis of the research conducted at the Music and Health Research Institute, followed by a presentation of our latest research results. Multiple presenters with varied expertise will deliver each scientific presentation. All presentations will be adapted for a wide audience (not only for experts in the field). Discussions and knowledge exchange with members of the audience will follow, as this will be a unique opportunity to benefit from a variety of perspectives, to share experiences and skills, and to debate crucial questions for the advancement of research and the implementation of results in the community, including through the development of a well-structured and well-supported social prescription program.
