Word from the Dean

Please continue to make your health and wellness a priority, as you prepare and study for final exams and assignments. If you start to feel overwhelmed, please take a break. Get some fresh air, sunshine and exercise, or connect with some friends and have some fun. Taking an hour of relaxation will pay dividends later.  As a uOttawa student, you have access to a range of health and wellbeing services and resources. We are here to support you. You may also reach out directly to Jessica Simon [email protected] to learn more about our resources for mental health, wellness and accommodations.

To our graduating students, I hope you find the next few weeks especially exhilarating. Many of you will write bar exams, begin clerkships, start articling positions and change cities in the months to come.

Whether you pursued a law degree to work in a legal profession or to enhance your knowledge about the law and apply it to another field, I hope your transition to the working world is filled with successes and that you enjoy this new chapter. Please stay in touch and keep us apprised of your accomplishments. There are also so many exciting ways to get involved with your Community for Life at the Faculty of Law, plus we have many opportunities and services available to you as alumni.

I hope you feel incredibly proud of your efforts and commitment throughout the year.

Wishing you all the best in the coming weeks and months. I am looking forward to seeing you on campus and at graduation. Please stop me and tell me your plans for the Summer or for after graduation.
