Student Health and Wellness Centre
Your wellness journey starts here! To help you reach your full potential, the Student Health and Wellness Centre is exclusively open to University of Ottawa and Saint Paul University students.
Counselling and therapy
Your first session will be offered in-person at the NEW Student Health and Wellness Centre. If you prefer virtual or in-person counselling, you can discuss this with your counsellor in your initial appointment.
Case management (student support)
The Student Support team offers non-clinical case management services to students with complex needs at the University of Ottawa.
Academic accommodations
The Academic Accommodations Service works with the University of Ottawa community to support students with temporary or permanent disability.
Wellness Lounge
Get support from peers, take a break, hang out with friends, and play games at the Wellness Lounge.
Peer support
Peer support is a great way to speak to someone who can relate to the challenges you may be facing. Our peer helpers are familiar with the challenges of university life. They often study in fields like medicine, psychology, or social work, and are trained to listen and provide informal emotional support.

Call 1-855-649-8641 for immediate support or to make an appointment with a counsellor, delivered in person, by telephone, by video-counselling, or by e-counselling.

Support groups offer a safe, confidential space to learn, share and connect with other students.
Contribute to the conversation based on your own successes and struggles. Our support groups meet weekly, every second week or monthly. They’re facilitated by mental health and wellness counsellors or by trained individuals with personal experience that relates to the group.
