Unified Communications for professors

The information presented here will help you find out how these changes in the Unified Communications project will impact you as professors, and what choices are available.

APUO members

Full-time professors and other APUO members will be able to make their calls through Microsoft Teams:

  • If you have a disability, you will be offered a physical phone.
  • If you currently have a uOttawa physical telephone, it will be removed. Those getting a phone will get a new model.
  • If you do not have a listening device, you can request a set of earbuds or an over-ear headset, free of charge.
  • Voice mail will be accessible via Teams. For those with a physical phone, there will be a voicemail button.
  • A questionnaire will be sent to you after the information sessions are held to obtain your choices.
