After enrolment

After enrolling, you may choose to make changes to your course selection or request a change to your program of study. If you're new to the University of Ottawa, we can help you get familiar with the campus and recommend a few things to do before classes begin.

uOttawa email account

If this is your first year at the University of Ottawa, we’ll send you an email that explains how to set up your @uOttawa.ca email account within 48 to 72 hours of your enrolment.

Please note that all email correspondence from the University of Ottawa is sent to students via their official university e-mail (@uOttawa.ca). It is the student’s responsibility to check his/her university email account on a regular basis.

Making changes to your course selection

If for any reason you need to make changes to the courses you’ve selected, you can return to the Enrol application in uoZone and make changes until the deadline indicated in Important academic dates and deadlines.

NoticeYou can still withdraw from a course after the deadline, but this will affect whether or not you meet your program requirements. To find out more, see the process for withdrawing from a course.

Making changes to your program

During your studies, you can make a request for changes to your program, such as adding a minor, a major or an option (if your program allows it). Find out more about making changes to your undergraduate program.
