Description
In keeping with its commitment to the Francophonie, the University of Ottawa will offer a Differential Tuition Fee Exemption Scholarship to international Francophone and Francophile students who are enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program as of September 2021. This significant contribution means that tuition fees paid by these international students will be nearly the same as those paid by Canadian students. - The Differential Tuition Fee Exemption Scholarship can be combined with the President’s Scholarship or Chancellor’s Scholarship but not with the Education Bursary for International Students.

President's Scholarship for International Students

Description
The President’s Scholarship is awarded to one full-time undergraduate international student. Valued at $30,000, it is one of the most prestigious scholarships at the University of Ottawa. Applicants must hold a student visa, have a minimum admission average of 92% (or equivalent) and demonstrate leadership qualities and a commitment to academic and extracurricular activities. This scholarship can be renewed for the three following years provided the student maintains full-time enrolment, international student status and a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 8.50. The University also provides a one-time award of $1,500 to applicants in second, third and fourth place. Applications must be submitted online.
- Students can renew their scholarship at 50% of the annual value if they have a CGPA between 8.00 and 8.49 at the end of the academic year. They can also renew their scholarship for the full amount in a subsequent year if their CGPA increases to 8.50 or higher.
- This scholarship cannot be combined with a Chancellor's Scholarship for International Students, with the Faculty of Arts Dean's Merit Scholarship or with the Merit Scholarship.

Description

This renewable scholarship is offered to international students who are citizens of African countries, who are admitted in the Fall 2022 term or later, who are studying in English, and who enrol in one of the specified undergraduate programs in the faculties of Engineering, Science, or Social Sciences. This significant financial contribution to their education reduces their tuition fees by $12,500 to $20,000, depending on the program.
- All students who are eligible for this scholarship will automatically receive it upon enrolment. It will be applied directly to their tuition fees.
- This scholarship cannot be combined with the Excellence Scholarship for African Students Studying in English.

Excellence Scholarship for African Students Studying in English

Description
The University of Ottawa is proud of the diversity of its international student body. This renewable scholarship is offered to international students who are citizens of African countries, who are admitted in the Fall 2022 term or later with an admission average of 90% or higher, who are studying in English, and who enrol in one of the specified undergraduate programs in the faculties of Engineering, Science, or Social Sciences. This significant financial contribution to their education reduces their tuition fees by $17,500 to $25,000, depending on the program.
- All students who are eligible for this scholarship will automatically receive it upon enrolment. It will be applied directly to their tuition fees.
- This scholarship cannot be combined with the Entrance Scholarship for African Students Studying in English.

Faculty of Arts Dean's Merit Scholarship

Description
The Faculty of Arts awards 10 of these renewable scholarships, each valued at a total of $4,000. Eligible applicants must be enrolled full time, and for the first time, in an undergraduate program at the Faculty of Arts and have a minimum admission average of 90%. This scholarship can be renewed for the three following years provided the student has a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 9.00 or higher at the end of a term (with at least 24 units) and is enrolled full time at the Faculty of Arts. No application is required for this scholarship. The scholarship is awarded during the summer preceding your studies.
- All eligible students, including international students, are automatically considered for this award.
- This scholarship cannot be combined with the President's Scholarship for International Students or the Chancellor's Scholarship for International Students.

Faculty of Engineering Dean's Merit Scholarship

Description
The Faculty of Engineering awards 35 of these scholarships to students with an admission average between 95 and 100% ($5,000) or between 90 and 94.9% ($4,000). Applicants must be enrolled full time, and for the first time, in an undergraduate program at the Faculty of Engineering.
- No application is required for this scholarship; all eligible students including international students are automatically considered for this award.

Faculty of Engineering Memorial Scholarship

Description
The Faculty of Engineering awards this scholarship to seven female students—one from each of the engineering programs (excluding computer science). This $2,000 award is given to applicants with a minimum admission average of 80% and who best fulfill the eligibility criteria. To apply, students must submit a letter explaining why they are applying to an engineering program and also submit an up-to-date resumé highlighting their latest academic and extracurricular achievements. Applications must be submitted online.
All female students admitted to the Faculty of Engineering, including international students, are eligible for this scholarship.
