We are reimagining communication and collaboration at uOttawa.
- Unified communications uses software that simulates the actions of a telephone. This software can be used on computers, tablets, and smartphones by using Internet to make and receive telephone calls instead of a physical telephone.
- The implementation of this system will allow more flexibility for our increasingly mobile workforce who work on and off campus, attend conferences, training and other events.
- Reducing the number of physical phones as well as our telephony infrastructure will improve the University’s carbon footprint.
