Stefan Supplice is a dedicated and dynamic professional with a comprehensive background in leadership, project management, and community engagement at the University of Ottawa. Holding a degree in political science from the University, Stefan has developed strong skills in critical thinking, policy analysis, and governance.

Throughout his journey at uOttawa, Stefan has held various influential roles. As an executive member of the International, Political & Policy Studies Student Association for three mandates, Program Coordinator for the Student Federation of the University of Ottawa and Senior Community Coordinator for Recreation and Varsity Sports, he successfully organized and managed numerous activities and initiatives aimed at fostering a sense of community and enhancing the campus experience.

Currently, Stefan serves as the Communications and Special Project Officer for the Office of the Vice-Provost, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusive Excellence, where he is deeply involved in forward-looking initiatives within the university community. This role has equipped him with a nuanced understanding of the challenges and opportunities we face in fostering a supportive environment for all.

In addition to his university role, Stefan is an emerging producer with a focus on documentary filmmaking. He has successfully managed several projects that engage and challenge audiences, aiming to contribute meaningful dialogues through cinema. His work has been recognized at various international film festivals, and he has received the President’s Award for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion from the University of Ottawa. 

As a candidate for the support staff position on the Board of Governors, Stefan is committed to advocating for transparency, accountability, and inclusivity. He aims to ask the tough questions, maintain open communication with support staff, and work collaboratively to advance the university’s mission and vision as outlined in Transformation 2030.

Bonjour, Hello, Kwey, Wachiye,

My name is Stefan Supplice, and with the present, I am requesting to kindly consider my candidacy for the support staff position on the Board of Governors at the University of Ottawa.

Through various leadership roles at the university, both as a student and now as a support staff, I have gained a deep understanding of its operations, challenges, and opportunities. I am eager to leverage this experience to contribute to the governance and strategic direction of our university.

My dedication to improving the university environment has enhanced collaboration among students, faculty, and support staff. By organizing numerous events and actively engaging in campus life, I have worked to create a more inclusive and cohesive community for everyone.

My goal is to promote a culture of transparency and accountability, and to work collaboratively with all partners to advance the mission and vision of our institution.

I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to serve on the Board of Governors and contribute to the continued success and growth of the University of Ottawa.
