What is Point3D?

Point3D is a reality capture company that uses 3D technologies to provide custom property marketing and documentation solutions. Working with architects, real estate developers, construction companies and property managers, Point3D helps streamline workflows and improve decision-making processes.

Point3D has transformed over 3,200 real-world spaces across many industries into accurate, immersive 3D digital copies, working with clients such as EQ Homes to create stunning 3D virtual tours of their model homes, RND Construction, Diefenbunker: Canada’s Cold War Museum and Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica Point3D has worked with over 600 clients and scanned over nine million square feet, leading to more than 22 million virtual property visits.

About the founders

Spencer and Logan MacPherson are brothers and co-founders of Point3D. Spencer is a graduate of the marketing program at Algonquin College, and Logan is a management graduate of the University of Ottawa’s Telfer School of Management. Blending their passions for photography and real estate, Spencer and Logan have created a solution that saves time, improves accuracy and enhances the way people interact with spaces digitally.

They’ve surrounded themselves with team members with expertise in architecture and construction who help execute their vision to shape the future of property marketing and documentation.

What’s next for Point3D

Point3D is constantly pushing the boundaries of reality capture technology. Its primary focus is on expanding its services to new markets, particularly to the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industries. With offices in Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto, they’ve gained traction with national contacts, particularly on the West Coast.

Point3D is also investing in research and development to enhance the quality and efficiency of its 3D virtual tours, 3D laser scanning and as-built models. This includes developing a property tech software solution that helps AEC clients consolidate their property documentation assets.
