Learn how to use a fire extinguisher

It’s Safety Week and Emergency Preparedness Week from May 5 to 9, 2025!

The Emergency Management team, in partnership with Ottawa Fire Services, is hosting a fire prevention booth.

Participants will learn more about best practices for fire safety and get a chance to use a BullEx laser fire extinguisher with focused beams to quickly and effectively extinguish flames on a screen.

Who should attend this event

This drop-in event is open to all members of the University community including students, but is particularly relevant to subject-matter experts such as building wardens, professors and staff working in labs, and regular staff.

Registration is NOT required.
