Claudette Commanda, a chancellor for all

175th anniversary
Claudette Commanda, Chancellor of uOttawa
In the final week of National Indigenous History Month, we present a video featuring parts of Claudette Commanda’s installation address.

She speaks of her time at the University of Ottawa and how uOttawa has changed. In particular, she discusses the coming years of her term and her desire to support Indigenous students, promote all students and build bridges between the University and Indigenous peoples. She invites us to follow her over her next five years as uOttawa chancellor, on the unceded territory of the Algonquin people, on Turtle Island.

The video is part of our series of videos to mark the 175th anniversary of the University of Ottawa.
