The University of Ottawa's Faculty of Education is pleased to invite you to the official launch of edstudiO, a new interactive learning space. Equipped with the latest technology, edstudiO is the perfect place to give free rein to your creativity and innovation. Join us for the official launch on January 18th from 4 pm to 6 pm in LMX 275.
About the edstudiO
The edstudiO is a multidimensional research, teaching, and community space. Access to programs and new technologies in the edstudiO advance our strategic priorities in preparing the next generation of teachers and educational researchers to use a range of digital and physical tools in their practice. The edstudiO has four purpose-built activity zones for making and tinkering, digital gaming, digital media production and collaboration.
Join us for this event, where you can discover a new educational space through a variety of workshops and demonstrations:
- Lego Robotics: Create and code an animated robot.
- Minecraft Education at the Gaming Zone: Explore the possibilities of this sandbox game for teaching subject concepts.
- Sewing in the Making Zone: Observe students making reusable bags.
- The green screen: record a "green screen" video and learn how to replace it with a background of your choice.
