Biography

Professor Jodoin completed his PhD studies at the Université de Sherbrooke Centre de Recherche et Technologies des Plasmas (CRTP) and joined the Mechanical Engineering Department of the University of Ottawa in 1998 where he founded the University of Ottawa Cold Spray laboratory.

Dr. Jodoin is currently working on the development of new coating processes for the production of high performance coatings for the aeronautic sector. In particular, he works on the development of the Cold Gas Dynamic Spray process and the Shock Wave Induced Spraying process as well as the development of nanocrystalline coatings. He is also involved in the development of a new generation of high performance heat exchangers for gas turbines.
