Event Details

With the mounting global challenges of environmental sustainability, the integration of cutting-edge technologies is becoming more imperative as a means to reduce global warming and protect our environment. having this motivation, recent advances and the intersections of Artificial intelligence (AI) and sustainable waste management will be explored in this workshop, offering transformative solutions for a greener future. Leveraging AI algorithms for waste monitoring, sorting, utilizing smart bins, and optimizing routes, capacities, etc., we delve into how these innovations streamline processes, enhance recycling efficiency, minimize environmental impact, and maximize social benefits, like job opportunities.

The workshop will provide an overview of the current landscape of waste management practices and the role AI plays in revolutionizing traditional approaches. Participants will gain insights into how AI reduces waste, recovers resources, and supports sustainability by studying real-world examples, case studies, and recent publications from speakers, particularly in North America.
