The 2nd School: Lets Talk about Research, organized by the Common Law Section under the leadership of Professor Peter Oliver and Assistant Dean Research Cintia Quiroga, brought together graduate students and seasoned researchers under the theme of “Talking About Research”. Researchers gathered to share stories of the challenges they face, the approaches they take, and the successes they have in their experience as law researchers.

The 3rd School: The role of the theoretical framework, organized by the Civil Law Section under the leadership of Professor Margarida Garcia and Assistant Dean Research Cintia Quiroga, focused on the function of the theoretical framework in research in law. This event brought together international experts to discuss issues surrounding empirical research in all of its aspects.
2021
The 4th Autumn School Inclusive Research, organized by the Common Law Section under the leadership of Assistant Dean Research Cintia Quiroga and Professor Penelope Simons will focus on creating equitable, diverse, and inclusive research environments. Speakers will share about their research and experience in implementing EDI in research. This event has become a tradition in our Faculty. We want to learn from each other, share advice and create culture around research.

The 5th edition of the Autumn School on the Methodology of Research in Law, organized by the Vice-Dean of Research for the Civil Law Section, Jennifer Quaid, and the Associate Dean of Research for the Faculty of Law, Cintia Quiroga, revolved around the theme “Dialogue, exchange and public engagement: The challenges and opportunities of knowledge mobilization in a connected but polarized world”.
