Biography
Dr. Elise De Francesco received her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Ottawa in 2014 before completing her PharmD at the University of Toronto in 2018. She then completed her residency at London Health Sciences Centre in 2019. Afterwards, Élise moved to Ottawa to join the pharmacy team at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) as a clinical pharmacist. Her area of expertise is in critical care and antimicrobial stewardship. She also has experience in a variety of clinical areas including general pediatrics and emergency medicine.
Dr. De Francesco has a special interest in pharmacy education. She is a preceptor for pharmacy students and residents, as well as offering pharmacology sessions to fellows, residents and medical students in the ICU. In addition, Élise is involved in the education committee of the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists.
