Biography

Dr. Geneviève Goulet obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biopharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Ottawa in 2003 and completed a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree in 2006 at Laval University. After 4 years of practice in pediatric pharmacy at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO), she completed her PharmD at the University of Toronto in 2012. Back at CHEO, her clinical expertise is in pediatric hematology-oncology. Her research interests include the areas of pharmacy practice and medication use in pediatrics. 

Since 2018, Dr. Goulet has served as an expert advisor to the Ontario Steering Committee for Cancer Drug Programs (OSCCD) at the Ontario Ministry of Health. Her role is to provide evidence-based clinical, health research, and health economics advice to the Executive Director of Ontario's Public Drug Programs. Composed mostly of experts in adult oncology, part of my role is to bring a pediatric perspective to this committee.

Research Projects

Dr. Goulet is co-investigator in a prospective study evaluating hypoglycemia during treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia in pediatric patients. She is also co-lead investigator in a study about the side effects of Pegaspargase use during treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia in pediatric patients.
