Biography
Dr. Lortie completed medical training at the University of Ottawa (MD 2003, FRCSC 2008), she completed residency at the University of Saskatchewan and Ottawa and a fellowship in minimally invasive gynecology, endoscopic surgery and urogynecology (2008-2009) with Regina General Hospital and the University of Saskatchewan. She has enhanced leadership training in communication, leadership self-awareness and mindfulness for physicians. She is passionate about being involved in the education of future physicians. She is currently the CanSAGE fellowship Director in Mininally invasive Gynecology in Ottawa.
She has a clinical focus on tertiary level surgical gynecology including expertise in the treatment of uterine fibroids, pelvic masses, hysteroscopic procedures and endometriosis. Her research interests include surgical education, curriculum development and evaluation, outcomes of surgical procedures, patient safety and physician wellness.
