Biography

After completing his Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Montreal in 2014, Dr. Laurent Montpetit worked for two years in the pharmaceutical industry. Wanting to get closer to direct patient care, he started his undergraduate Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) at the University of Waterloo. Since graduation, he has worked at Montfort Hospital as a clinical pharmacist in general medecine while continuing to practice in community pharmacy. As a member of various interprofessional committees, Dr. Montpetit promotes a collaborative approach to his practice. He also acts as a preceptor for pharmacy students at the hospital and is involved in the review of pharmaceutical care policies and procedures.
