Biography

Dr. Mélissa Varsava is a clinical pharmacist and a native of Northern Ontario. She graduated from the University of Waterloo with a degree in Biomedical Sciences followed by a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Toronto. After her graduation in 2016, Dr Varsava joined the Montfort Academic Family Health Team, as well as Hôpital Montfort as a clinical pharmacist. She is passionate about psychiatry and geriatrics, particularly cognitive impairment and dementia. She is a member of the Montfort Hospital pharmaco-nursing committee and the Journées Montfort conference planning committee. Mélissa is also involved in teaching second-year students in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ottawa. She is proud to contribute to the education and development of future Francophone pharmacists through the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
