Biography

Dr. Trevor A. Flood attended the University of Ottawa for both medical school and residency. Following his residency in Anatomic Pathology, he completed a fellowship at Harvard Medical School working at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Genitourinary Pathology. Dr. Flood then returned to Ottawa where he is now an Assistant Professor in Anatomic Pathology and the Genitourinary Subspecialty Lead.  His research interests relate primarily to identifying morphologic and molecular prognostic features in prostate, kidney, penile and bladder cancers. Several of his projects have focused on various histologic features recognized in biopsies and/or oncologic resections that ultimately correlate with tumor stage, disease recurrence, and cancer specific mortality. Dr. Flood also has interests in using technology as a tool in anatomic pathology as well as integrating a multidisciplinary approach to genitourinary oncology problems through collaboration with diagnostic radiologists and surgeons alike.
