Biography
Dr. Jin has a Bachelor of Medical Science with Honors from Western University and an M.D. from the University of Toronto. She completed her training with the uOttawa Psychiatry Residency program, where she served as a chief resident and is held in universally high regard by our faculty. Dr. Jin has very clear interests in reproductive/perinatal psychiatry and psychotherapy. Her clinical practice primarily involves perinatal psychiatry and secondarily outpatient general adult psychiatry. She is working towards obtaining certification from the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and pursuing the certification pathway for Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy. She will apply these skills to first relaunch a perinatal Cognitive Behavioral Therapy group, and serve as a psychotherapy supervisor. She also plans to be involved in outcomes research, measurement-based care, and quality improvement of the programs she is involved with. She is a strong advocate for learners wellness, and enjoys teaching in various settings.
