Join us as we welcome Dr. Alfredo Walker, who will discuss an overview of Modalities of Restraint and Restraint-associated Deaths.
By the end of the presentation, participants will be able to:
• Describe the classifications and types of modalities of restraint that exist.
•Discuss the risks of fatality and injury associated with the use of each restraint modality when used to subdue individuals in crisis.
•Describe the jurisdictional differences that exist between practice and the issued guidelines for psychiatric patients in crisis.
