New this year:

Nomination letters will no longer be collected. Instead, new questions are included on the nomination form. See the Nomination Guidelines section below for more information.

Categories

The award categories are broad and are relevant to the wide spectrum of roles at the Faculty. For example, the work of nominees may contribute to the Faculty's strategic platforms and unifying priorities or be work that provides a service or is operational in nature.

Who is eligible?

Full-time Faculty of Medicine support staff (including administrative, IT, lab and grant-paid staff) are eligible, regardless of their job level and category (contract or permanent). Faculty members and co-op students are ineligible.

Full-time clinical department support staff who are not technically Faculty of Medicine staff but who contribute to the Faculty’s objectives are also eligible. Their work must support the Faculty’s programs, learners, support staff, and/or faculty members. They may have roles such as educational program coordinator or administrator, research program support, research advisor, etc.

Staff who won a Support Staff Award of Excellence as an individual contributor in the last two years are ineligible for individual contributor awards this year; teams who won a team award in the last two years are ineligible for team awards this year. For example, a 2023 winner would not be eligible again until 2026. View the previous Support Staff Awards of Excellence Winners.

The Faculty is committed to fostering an equitable workplace environment that provides equal opportunities for everyone and that respects and values diversity. Thank you for taking this into account when nominating candidates for prizes.
