CCAPP accreditation visit to the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences
On February 8, 9 and 10, 2027, the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPS) will have the honour of welcoming the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP) to the Roger-Guindon campus.
The purpose of the visit is to evaluate the School's undergraduate Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program, which welcomed its first cohort in August 2023 and is now in its fourth year.
CCAPP is the organization responsible for accrediting pharmacy academic programs and setting the standards they must meet. Accreditation is the public recognition granted to a professional program that satisfies established professional and educational standards, confirmed through an initial evaluation and periodic reviews thereafter.
This accreditation is essential to the recognition of our graduates and serves to strengthen the quality of teaching and learning. It represents a decisive milestone for the University of Ottawa's PharmD program.
