About the event

This presentation will describe how participatory action research can serve as a means for racialized communities to combat racism through knowledge production and dissemination. It will present the work of #Mtl Sans Profilage, a multi-generational collective of Black and racialized researchers and organizers who produced the first-ever qualitative study on racism in police practices towards Black and racialized youth in Montreal. The presentation will discuss the team's strategies in carrying out research, publishing the findings, and influencing policy conversations.
