It is with great interest that Café-Jeunesse Multiculturel and the Centre for Research on Educational and Community Service (CRECS) at the University of Ottawa invite you to participate in the third edition of the Colloquium on Urbanity and Marginalized Youth: From Confrontation to Benevolence, which will take place on Thursday, May 9, 2024, in person from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
About the event:
The event will be held at the Empire Royal Reception Hall, 5605 Amos Street, Montréal-Nord QC H1G 2Y3.
Through this 3rd colloquium, "Urbanity and Marginalized Youth: From Confrontation to Benevolence," we invite you, as social, community, institutional, and academic actors, as well as citizens, to participate in a debate and exchange on the challenges and opportunities related to the care of disadvantaged, marginalized youth "outside the framework" of the Montréal-Nord borough.
The objectives of this third edition of the colloquium are:
- To debate the issue of caring for marginalized youth.
- To understand the territorial dimension of young people's trajectories.
- To bring together a group of community, institutional, and academic actors to exchange ideas on identified priority issues.
- To refine the reflection on systemic biases against marginalized youth and define responsibilities.
We hope to count you among us. Please accept, Sir/Madam, our most distinguished greetings.
