Leila Benhadjoudja is anti-racism feminist, and holds a doctorate in sociology. Her research focuses on racism and anti-racism in Quebec, and her main publications focus on Islamophobia and Muslim feminism. She is the co-founder of the Feminist Festival in Ottawa, and works as a professor at the Institute of Feminist and Gender Studies at the University of Ottawa. Also, she is a mother, passionate about social justice, cycling and dancing.
Délice Mugabo is a Black Muslim feminist geographer and member of the Third Eye Collective, a group dedicated to transformative justice for Black women survivors of sexual violence. Her current research examines how isolation shapes anti-black violence in 18th century Quebec, and how enslaved black women organize their struggle in this context. Her publications include Black feminist mobilization, Black radical activism in Montreal in the 1990s, and anti-black Islamophobia.
