This is a joint event between the DST/NRF/Newton Fund Trilateral Chair in Transformative Innovation, the Fourth Industrial Revolution and Sustainable Development at the University of Johannesburg and the Open African Innovation Research Partnership (Open AIR). Covid-19 has had devastating social and economic impacts on those operating in the informal points:
(1) The economic and social consequences of Covid-19 on the informal economy,
(2) Short-term actions to help reduce the negative impacts of Covid-19 on the informal economy,
(3) Medium-term actions to gradually relaunch informal activities,
(4) Long-term actions to make informal innovation a lever for post-pandemic recovery.
