Presentation

The Centre for Law, Technology and Society is a proud partner of the International Office at the University of Ottawa presenting:

Jacques Frémont, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ottawa, and Sanni Yaya, Vice-President, International and Francophonie, are pleased to invite you to a day of roundtable discussions on Tuesday, September 21 – the United Nations’ International Day of Peace.

As the world strives to heal from the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 UN theme for the International Day of Peace invites us to consider meaningful paths to “recovering better for an equitable and sustainable world.” Join us for a ‘think-in’ that examines how gender, peace, and security can help advance a more equitable and sustainable recovery.

Roundtables will consider three sectors that benefit from an understanding and integration of gender, peace, and security: care and wellbeing; governance; and justice. We will welcome community mobilizers, Indigenous leaders, policymakers, diplomats, and researchers as distinguished participants in these conversations.
